Finalizing the Regional Footprint: Leadership for the Northern & Dayi Districts

With the successful execution of its fourth and final Trainer of Trainees (ToT) cohort, Keep Premium Solutions (KPS) achieved a historic milestone: complete, end-to-end master trainer coverage across every major educational zone in the Volta Region.

This culminating workshop brought together 30 dynamic classroom teachers, headteachers, and district education officers representing five critical northern and Dayi administrative areas:

  • South Dayi District
  • Kpando Municipal
  • North Dayi District
  • Afadzato South District
  • Hohoe Municipal

Deepening Digital Integration Across Diverse School Settings

The Northern Volta and Dayi enclave features a diverse mix of urban municipal centres, lakeside basic schools, and rural island and mountainous communities. The training curriculum was tailored to directly address these local environmental realities, emphasizing resilient, technology-enabled teaching practices that function reliably even where internet access or device availability is limited.

Key areas of intense practical simulation included:

  • Syllabus-Aligned Digital Pedagogy: Deconstructing the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) Standards-Based and Common Core curriculum strands, and mapping them directly to offline digital simulations, interactive visual aids, and lesson presentation tools.
  • Low-Resource Tech Adaptation: Practical demonstrations on running effective multimedia and digital learning sessions using single-device classrooms, offline projectors, peer-sharing networks, and local flash drive repositories.
  • Continuous Assessment Management: Hands-on drills with offline student records capturing, automated performance tracking, and continuous assessment data entry to streamline teacher workflows and reduce administrative burden.
  • Peer Cascade Methodology: Training each participant on how to organize and deliver high-impact, hands-on micro-workshops for fellow teachers back at the circuit and school cluster levels.

A Unified Regional Network of Over 110 Master Trainers

With the certification of Cohort 4's 30 participants, KPS successfully completed its four-cohort regional rollout strategy:

  • Cohort 1: 30 Master Trainers across 6 Southern Volta districts (Anloga, Keta, Ketu South, Ketu North, Akatsi South, Akatsi North)
  • Cohort 2: 26 Master Trainers across the 3 Tongu districts (South Tongu, Central Tongu, North Tongu)
  • Cohort 3: 25 Master Trainers across Central Volta (Ho Municipal, Ho West, Adaklu, Agotime Kpetoe)
  • Cohort 4: 30 Master Trainers across Northern Volta & Dayi (South Dayi, Kpando, North Dayi, Afadzato South, Hohoe Municipal)

Combined, this initiative established an active cadre of over 110 certified local master trainers strategically deployed throughout the Volta Region—guaranteeing that downstream teacher professional development is sustainable, community-owned, and grounded in real classroom practice.

> *"With Cohort 4 complete, we have ensured that no district in the Volta Region is left behind. Every education directorate now has trained, confident master facilitators capable of driving digital pedagogy directly into basic and junior high school classrooms."* > — Edwin Peter Ketormanya, CEO, Keep Premium Solutions
