Deepening Grassroots Impact: KPS Equips 25 Cohort 3 Master Trainers Across Ho Municipal, Ho West, Adaklu, and Agotime Kpetoe

To power downstream, school-level ICT integration across central Volta districts, Keep Premium Solutions convened 25 selected teachers and education officers for an intensive Cohort 3 Trainer of Trainees (ToT) workshop—preparing local champions to scale curriculum-aligned digital competencies.

Accelerating Downstream Delivery Through Localized Leadership

Sustainable educational transformation relies on strong local champions. As part of Keep Premium Solutions' (KPS) ongoing mission to operationalize the Standards-Based and Common Core curricula through technology, KPS convened its third regional cohort of the Trainer of Trainees (ToT) initiative.

Bringing together 25 high-performing teachers and educational support staff, this specialized cohort drew participants from four key central Volta districts and municipalities:

  • Ho Municipal
  • Ho West District
  • Adaklu District
  • Agotime Kpetoe (Agotime-Ziope District)

The Multiplier Strategy: Training for Cascade Delivery

The primary goal of Cohort 3 was to build the human and technical infrastructure needed for seamless downstream training. Rather than relying solely on centralized facilitators, this model empowers district-based educators to lead subsequent workshops, mentor peer teachers, and resolve frontline implementation challenges within their respective circuits.

Key pillars covered during the hands-on simulation sessions included:

  • Pedagogy-First ICT Integration: Aligning digital presentation, assessment, and research tools directly with national learning strands under the Standards-Based and Common Core frameworks.
  • Adult Learning & Workshop Facilitation: Equipping master trainers with adult-learning facilitation techniques, peer-coaching skills, and strategies for handling mixed-ability adult learners in resource-constrained schools.
  • Practical Classroom Workflows: Hands-on simulations on offline lesson preparation, digital continuous assessment capture, and offline diagnostic tools to ensure every teacher can teach effectively regardless of internet availability.
  • Standardized Cascade Quality Assurance: Establishing uniform assessment criteria and training rubrics to maintain high standards when these 25 trainers replicate the modules in their local circuits.

Tangible Outcomes and Regional Preparedness

By the conclusion of the workshop: 1. 25 Certified Master Facilitators: All participants demonstrated competency in facilitating hands-on digital curriculum modules and troubleshooting basic technical issues. 2. Coordinated Circuit Rollout Plans: District teams established clear timetables and resource-sharing arrangements for upcoming cluster-based teacher training sessions. 3. Stronger Regional Network: Teachers across Ho, Ho West, Adaklu, and Agotime Kpetoe formed dedicated peer-support communication channels to share lesson artifacts, templates, and facilitation insights.

> *"When teachers train fellow teachers, the barriers of apprehension disappear. Cohort 3 gives these four districts their own resident experts, ensuring that the integration of modern tools into the standard-based curriculum is sustained long after the initial workshop ends."* > — Edwin Peter Ketormanya, CEO, Keep Premium Solutions

Driving Towards SDG 4

By systematically building regional capacity across Southern, Tongu, and now Central Volta enclaves, Keep Premium Solutions continues to reinforce Ghana's Education Strategic Plan and UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education)—proving that with the right training model, every district can cultivate the leadership needed for 21st-century classrooms.
