Expanding the Reach: KPS Certifies 26 Cohort 2 Master Trainers Across the Three Tongu Districts for Curriculum ICT Integration

Building on the success of its southern Volta rollout, Keep Premium Solutions (KPS) assembled and trained Cohort 2 of its Training of Trainers (ToT) initiative. Bringing together 26 select educators, ICT coordinators, and education office personnel across South Tongu, Central Tongu, and North Tongu, this intensive program equipped a dedicated local cadre to drive district-level ICT integration into Ghana’s Standards-Based and Common Core curricula.

Expanding the Reach: KPS Certifies 26 Cohort 2 Master Trainers Across the Three Tongu Districts for Curriculum ICT Integration

A truly decentralized education support system leaves no corner of a region behind. Following the successful inauguration of Cohort 1 in the southern Volta coastal belt, Keep Premium Solutions (KPS) turned its focus to the vital Tongu enclave to establish a second dedicated cluster of localized educational leaders and technology facilitators.

In a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop, 26 handpicked classroom teachers, lead ICT instructors, and district education directorate officers from across the three Tongu districts were officially certified as Cohort 2 Master Trainers.

Strategic Coverage Across the Tongu Enclave

To guarantee that grassroots schools across the entire corridor receive accessible, continuous professional mentorship, the 26 participants were drawn strategically across:

  • South Tongu District (Sogakope)
  • Central Tongu District (Adidome)
  • North Tongu District (Battor / Juapong)

This tripartite alignment brought together the unique geographical, infrastructural, and administrative realities of riverside and rural basic schools, ensuring training methodologies were grounded in real classroom conditions.

Intensive Capacity-Building Focus Areas

Cohort 2 participants engaged in rigorous, practice-driven modules designed to build both technical proficiency and instructional leadership: 1. Curriculum Alignment for Basic Schools & JHS: Deconstructing the Standards-Based Curriculum (B1–B6) and Common Core Programme (B7–B9) to embed digital tools into everyday lesson planning and instructional objectives. 2. Pedagogy for Low-Resource Classrooms: Practical demonstrations on running interactive, digital-enabled lessons without relying on steady internet connectivity or one-to-one computer labs. 3. Continuous Assessment & Analytics: Demonstrating how automated assessment workflows, diagnostic profiling, and learning outcome tracking lighten teacher burdens while improving reporting accuracy. 4. Facilitator Readiness & Adult Learning Principles: Training master trainers on mentoring fellow teachers, resolving technophobia, structuring interactive workshops, and managing differentiated adult learner groups. 5. Peer-Led Simulation & Rigorous Quality Assessment: Every participant facilitated mock district training sessions, receiving structured critique on instructional clarity, practical engagement, and time management.

Multiplier Impact for Tongu Schools

With the successful certification of these 26 Cohort 2 specialists, KPS expanded its regional footprint with immediate advantages for the Tongu enclave:

  • Localized Readiness for District Rollouts: Each of the three districts now holds an active, trained leadership team ready to facilitate mass teacher workshops locally.
  • Cost-Effective, Sustainable Support: Basic school teachers in South, Central, and North Tongu no longer need to travel to regional centers for technology coaching; experienced mentors now reside within their own directorates and circuits.
  • Consistent Pedagogical Standards: Ensures that teacher capacity building in the Tongu districts matches the high benchmarks established across the wider Volta Region in line with National Teaching Council (NTC) and Ghana Education Service (GES) priorities.

Through purposeful investments in local master trainers, Keep Premium Solutions continues to demonstrate that scalable digital innovation is achieved by empowering local educators to champion sustainable progress within their own communities.
